Adoption Jouney

Jeremy and I want to share this journey with so many of you. We have had so many people ask, pray, care, and love on us. We know there are ups and downs, good days and bad days, highs and lows with this process and want to involve yall! I wish I could call all my friends when something happened, but that isn't possible....so we decided the best way to share news would be our blog. We will post the story here and you can follow along with us, pray for us, and join us in this wild ride!

Here is the story in a nutshell:
-about a month ago a girl I coach in softball told me she had a friend who was pregnant and wanted to give the baby up for adoption
-she already has a child, is 20, and knows she simply can not care for another child financially
-she was also adopted herself
-the girl contacted me through e-mail and we talked for about 2 days. She seemed pretty serious and wanted to meet, but then I did not hear from her for 3 weeks

Then today I received a text with a picture of an ultra sound and the message, "Thought you might want to see the baby". I had no clue who this was from and when I asked, it was the girl. She also sent me another e-mail today saying that she had been busy, still wanted to meet, and telling me that she and the baby were healthy. WOW...what a roller coaster! This is where we stand with this situation. Right now we are taking it one day at a time knowing that things can change at any moment, but also praying for her and for this baby. Please join us in praying that God would smooth the road and make the path clear if this is the precious child that He has been waiting to add to our family. We are so thankful and need your love and support during this time. We will update the blog as things change for the better or worse....it is a journey and we are asking that God lead us, grow our faith through this, and tell a story through this that can only give praise to Him.

Emily,
Been thinking of you and your journey lately. This is such wonderful news. Adoption is such a roller coaster ride! I will be praying for your family.

This is great news. I think about you guys and pray for you daily.

Just a couple of hours ago, my two sweet babies lifted a pray up for you, as they do every night.

We will continue to pray that God sends you the sweet baby that you have been waiting and praying for. We will also be asking God to let you quickly know if this is the one he has been delicately forming in the palm of His hands for you and Jeremy.

Can't wait to follow along with you and hear all the details.

I just found your blog recently and began following it for encouragement (my husband and I are dealing with infertility and going through treatments... we've started to think about adoption, but are still very hesitant). Best wishes to you. You are definitely in my prayers.

I found your blog a little while ago and read all of your previous posts in one day. Your journey struck an emotional chord with me and ever since I've been checking back daily hoping there'd be a happy update. I'm so glad that good news has come today! You've been in my thoughts and although I'm a complete stranger, I want you to know I'm excited for you and your husband and can't wait to see you blessed with the child you deserve. I'll continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers until that day comes!

We are excited for this potential possibility and will be praying alongside you as you go through the roller coaster ride that adoption brings. We've been praying for that sweet baby that you and Jeremy will have the blessing to parent one day, and praying that the days get shorter to when you will meet that baby face to face. Praying for y'all!

Praying for you!
I saw your room on Lettered Cottage and started following you to see what God has in store on your adoption journey. We are in the beginning stages of adoption...submitting paperwork, getting a room ready(want those stripes in our room-love it!), and just trying to be patient in the wait. Thanks for your willingness to tell your story. You are a blessing to complete strangers!!!
